Ashley Graham was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. Two of her sisters were raised in the same household, and she suffered bullying at school regularly because of the size of her thighs. Graham was able to accept a number of model offers from catalogs throughout time. However she was told repeatedly that it would be difficult for her to move beyond small tasks. The career of Graham grew rapidly after she proved the doubters wrong. In 2007, she had an interview with Sally Singer of "Vogue" magazine, which gave her one of her first major breaks. She appeared as a model in "Glamour Magazine" piece "These Bodies are Beautiful at Any Size". Graham was in the news again after she was featured in a commercial to promote Lane Bryant that ended up being barred from several countries. The commercial received over 800,000 hits before being removed. The singer was even in "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno to address the subject after it had gotten out of control. Graham quickly became an enthralling as a plus-size model. Grande was a young girl who began acting and singing. Her first appearance was a minor performance in Broadway's show 13 in 2008. After that she was acting in numerous television shows. The year 2010 brought her biggest break when she was cast as a character in the Nickelodeon show Victorious. She played Cat Valentine, an adolescent who was enrolled in a school of performing arts. The show ended in 2013, and she was a part of the sequel, Sam & Cat.
