Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into combat sports in the form of an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority verdict. Antonina later won an award of Silver in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008, and a gold medal in the year 2011, and the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012 she won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final fight took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The victory was achieved by an unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won 3-0 following the second-round TKO. Her next two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to focus on her kickboxing and came back against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimous decision and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. After leaving the league in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her impressive striking ability in the final clinch by using knees on the body. Antonina Shevchenko was given the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi in an unanimous decision. She then was unable to win her next fight because of a split verdict. Antonina bounced right back after her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. The bout earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her subsequent three bouts. She beat Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
