Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her career by playing supporting roles in the teenage comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). She later played reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt and also played a minor role in the series that ran for a short time The Ex List. She played the role of a young Moira O'Hara in the debut season of FX's American Horror Story, and as Kaylee in the season's third. She was Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead as well as Sophie on NBC's This Is Us. She is a voice actor on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019, she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe who is a character from the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge lived in Darien, Connecticut, until when she was 10 when her mom and daughter moved to California,[1] where they went through a few different places before they settled in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 years old when she started to develop an interest in acting, photography and singing. Breckenridge re-located to Los Angeles with the help of her mother when she was 15.
